I think some of y'all need some pro tips for spending holidays alone. I'm joining another family after their festivities have ended this year, but I've been spending holidays alone since my teens, and this is the way:
My son is 15
I never bought him a pride onesie when he was a baby.
I never read him a book that had two moms as part of the storyline.
When he was little stores and businesses didn’t have LGBTQ+ displays and we didn’t celebrate pride month.
He was raised Catholic, and went to church.
Guess what? He is gay.
The rainbow won’t make your kids gay. They are born that way. A display in a store won’t make your kid trans, they are born that way.
If you don’t love and accept them for who they are, YOU are a shitty parent.
They haven’t failed, you have.
Folding towels and hoarding the good ones for myself. Too thick and I can’t wrap it around my head. Too thin and I stay damp. Keeping the Goldilocks towels in my room
@jen_koala @backstreetboys@cloutiervero Excited for you, Jen! I saw them a few weeks ago and it was so fun (kind of wish they just stuck with their old hits though)
I am deeply troubled by reports of Kellogg’s plans to permanently replace striking workers. Permanently replacing striking workers is an existential attack on the union and its members’ jobs and livelihoods. I strongly support legislation that would ban that practice.
