@not_coddx Oh this one works better than I thought, I only really pictured the muzzle being changed. it's a little less bright-eyed but I think it looks good!
How do you feel about Junio Sonic & how it breaks the eye dominance? I feel most of the time it looks off, but sometimes it works?
I like it when he loses the muzzle curve from grinning, it feels more like part of his face
having it like that all the time does feel a little less appealing though
"the muzzle curve and chaomix circle theory are both bullshit, its fine if you personally prefer how the characters look when applying these "rules" but i've seen the fandom use them as arbitrary standards to declare what looks objectively better and i think it's hella toxic-
@not_coddx I think the Karasuno drawing would look a little off with eye dominance, you'd need to lower the mouth like in your pic to maintain the volume of the top of the muzzle
At that point it's more of a limitation, the other examples would work fine with eye dominance though I agree!
Yardley seems to think this way when drawing him and it's a cool balance, despite both of them smiling they give off very different impressions because of that one feature, you don't really get this with the official design philosophy
I usually picture it like this when drawing him, I'd be interested to see a 3D model which has a muzzle curve that overlaps the eye from below like this...
