if the same people had twice as much time, they could produce as good of a system in half the code (1981)
adding manpower to a late software project makes it later (1975)
language allows us to make a statements which can be contradictory yet be correct or be incorrect and incontradictory, I think its the lens which is used to view things. lenses can decieve us and correct us both!
one thing no AI coding agent has and I don't know why is a simple toggle between machine-access,
the problem is: dude, I asked you a simple question you don't need to read through my entire home directory, to find anything useful to improve your response,
wrote a simple tool in pi to deal with this
I usually use web chatgpt for these cases where I want quicker responses but that get's painfully slow and starts consuming lot of memory if lots of tabs are open
this extension let's me toggle between whether the agent has machine access or not, which makes the responses much faster
here's a simple example:
I ask agent what the .zshrc file does?
In first case I ask with machine-access on so it reads the file and give me the most useful answer
In second case I just want to know what the .zshrc does simply so I remove the machine-access so it doesn't spend any time thinking, extrapolating, fathoming, tool calling and just simply gives me a effing response and quickly,
It simply let's me evaluate in realtime do I want the agent to improve its response by accessing the machine?
If its a no then I take away the access using CTRL + ; and when I want it to act normally as most coding agents do, then, here you go grok, here's your access to the machine, be excellent!

@krabstronaut@theodorvaryag zed is superior for rust for sure, but the short hands differ from vscode, requires to configure nd all and still might miss some features we get from cursor, but I hate using tab completion on rust code so might not be bad to switch to it, or just become a neovimer at this point
Just integrated @SquadsLabs Grid into the ATM!

I am organizing a conference that I've always wanted to attend - OnlyDevs.
Curating the line up has been a labor of love. Every speaker had to pass one bar: Are they working on something that would make a systems engineer at FAANG jealous?
No panels. No fluff. Only talks on the hardest technical problems being solved on @solana today.
