@caitecassidy@GuardianAus We'd been so excited to take our new bub into the Perth Fan Festival but got spooked out of it as there were no advertised feeding or parents rooms that would be open at the same time as most games were played. Did the Sydney live site have anything?

A postgraduate degree is no mean feat, it's a long and, often arduous, migration but this guy's done it ! Check out his thesis titled "A scientific basis for assisted gene migration under climate change" on the interwebs near you🌲🧬
What do you get when you have the Deputy leader of the Opposition/ Shadow Minister for Women @sussanley MP with scientists @DrAnitaGoh@maja_cassidy@maddy_hoff? A vibrant discussion about ageing, nuclear testing, and quantum - and equity! Thank you Minister! @ScienceAU#smp2023
Today Senator @MehreenFaruqi introduced an amendment that would have made PhD candidates eligible for Paid Parental Leave in Australia. While it didn't pass, I am grateful and optimistic that this is the beginning of necessary change at a federal level.
#phdlife#phdvoice
Really disappointed that Labor voted against my amendment to extend the Paid Parental Leave scheme to PhD students. This is a cruel and gaping oversight by the government.
This is why PhD students deserve PPL and significantly higher stipends:
Radioactive materials are tricky y'all!
Radioactivity can increase in a substance over time by 'ingrowth' of its progeny. Our latest @NDRIAustralia paper ensures that decisions made today are future-proofed.

.@maddy_hoff is leading the way investigating the persistence and impact of radiation from historical bomb testing on our marine environment.
Great article on her important work @EdithCowanUni 👇

Today marks 70 years since Britain's first nuclear tests in Australia. Now ECU marine scientists have released #research findings from the historic test site at the #montebelloislands that detect #radiation in the water. See the story tonight on @TenNewsPerth
It's finally time to head home to Aus after an incredible week in Oslo for #ICRER2022
As well as being able to present my #PhD work on the #MontebelloIslands at @EdithCowanUni to the radioecology community, I debuted 6 pieces of self-made clothing (inc. skirt pictured).
@maddy_hoff That was a killer talk!! Super interesting findings on spatial distribution of anthropogenic radionuclides at the Montebello Islands #ICRER2022
What are you doing next week? Come along to our free ‘Misinformation’ #ScienceWeek event. Event details are here: https://t.co/fGxHxzC35H
