A lesson in etiquette: when you borrow someone's book (they're stupid for lending it but that's besides the point) and you spoil it (like I said - stupid), the least you can do is get them a new copy & not try to return a sodden, tea-stained, torn etc book. Basic courtesy, folks.

We should always remember that the ones calling for war are the ones who will not suffer its consequences at all. They will be barricaded in their fancy, secure homes and when the time comes, hop onto a plane and leave for safer pastures. Do not listen to them!

@sabizak which used weapons and power to implement & promote their capitalist enterprises. Can’t be justified. The most extreme example of their strategy was what they did to China with opium. We cant blame the native ppl for this just as we cannot blame enslaved ppl for being enslaved.

@sabizak This is the excuse taught to us in school. The goras landed in Jehangir’s time & Shahjehan was on good terms with them while a prince. He gave them rights to trade only when he became kind & they started making FORTRESSES despite only being a trading co. It was sheer capitalism
