Being fuckin honest, generic AI shit doesn't fuckin sell.
And motion designers are about to learn that the hard way.
Look at YouTube.
Thousands of channels post AI voiceovers with AI-generated stories.
Ever single one of them are fuckin same.
They get views. Sure.
But be honest.
How many do you actually subscribe to?
None !!
That's exactly where motion design is heading.
Everyone will have access to:
→ The same AI tools
→ The same animation styles
→ The same generic concepts
So what the fuck makes you different?
And bro, don't even get me started on marketing 😭
I use GPT and Claude myself.
But always.... they're like that dumb classmate who needs EVERYTHING explained before giving you something useful.
Give 100 people the same product.
Ask them to generate an ad using AI.
I bet most will come back with:
→ Similar angles
→ Similar positioning
→ Similar boring concepts
Because they don't even understand what they're trying to sell.
Here's an example from my own work.
The video below was made for a product targeting college students who wanted an easier way to hang out.
I could've just made some crazy motion graphics.
But that wasn't the point.
I built the entire video around ONE angle:
Making the product feel ridiculously EASY to use.
And while doing that, I also showed:
→ How quickly they could get results
→ How little effort it required
→ How achievable their desired outcome was
Every animation had a reason to exist.
That's the part I want you to notice.
Not the fancy motion.
The THINKING behind it.
Because I AI can generate beautiful shit.
But beautiful ≠ effective.
The real difference isn't who can animate better anymore.
It's who understands:
→ WHO they're selling to
→ WHAT actually matters to them
→ WHY they should care
→ HOW to communicate it
AI is making execution accessible to everyone.
But creative thinking? That's what will separate people.
And that's why I believe creative direction will become more valuable, not less.
Agree? Or am I completely fucking wrong? lol
