one X account went from its first post to 3.3k followers in 7 weeks
i wanted to know how, so i had opus 5.5 go through ~1,900 posts from 10 ai accounts that are growing rn
here are the results of the research
opus 5.5 is insane at building minecraft mods
been developing a performance mod with the help of opus 5.5 and it's been genuinely impressive
here are some early numbers, my 1 mod vs my setup with 17 performance mods:
standing still: 1,187 fps vs 1,142
walking through my storage room (1,470 chests): ~650 vs ~500
flying over the ocean loading new chunks: 900-1000 vs 600-700
for reference vanilla does ~440 standing still
these are very early numbers, going to optimize it even more. i expect at least a 20% improvement over the full perf mods i use
i made this mod so i don't have to deal with updating all 17 mods every time and the compatibility issues that come with it
system specs: rtx 4070, i5 13400f, 32gb ram, 1440p, 20 chunks render distance
@babayagatwt sora was the start of the downfall tbh ,they started trying to be everywhere at once and basically monopolize every part of the AI market
look at Atlas for example, dead before launch
@hqmank it's good and bad at the same time
on one hand you can keep working from your phone or web without relying on your pc
on the other, you lose more control over where your data is processed, and this should also mean more load on Anthropic's servers
@kimmonismus compute
they’re struggling, and since they had to make Dots unlimited to make them appealing, they probably couldn’t afford to open them up to everyone
my guess is once the unlimited usage ends, they’ll give access to more users
WTF THIS IS CRAZY
they basically put Minecraft inside Cyberpunk 2077
and i don’t mean some texture swap or a few blocks
actual Minecraft mechanics are running inside Night City
you can place and break blocks, mine through buildings, use TNT, swap your hotbar, take Minecraft fall damage, even fight Cyberpunk enemies with Minecraft weapons
while Cyberpunk’s own systems keep running underneath
rain still lands on the blocks
TNT can send cars flying
Minecraft’s HUD runs on top of Cyberpunk’s HUD
but this is the part that actually got me:
NO SOURCE CODE
NO DOCS
NO OFFICIAL MODDING API
Opus 5.5 apparently read the shipped binary, figured out how the engine worked, patched it, launched the game and tested its own work
basically two completely different rule sets running inside the same game
the mod is cool, but the way it was built is the actually crazy part
i don’t really see strong evidence that they’re conscious yet
they still don’t seem to have a persistent self or independent thoughts. they mostly respond to what we give them, and their personality/opinions can change pretty easily depending on the user or prompt
that doesn’t prove they’re not conscious, but imo we’re still pretty far from being able to claim they are
Over the next 28 days, each day we’ll either ship one thing that is a clear improvement and relevant for most codex/work users or ship a full reset. Let the improvements begin.
MUSE IS ACTUALLY INSANE
i asked it to recreate that famous early 2000s home-video look and it nailed it way better than i expected
left: muse right: seedance 2.5
gemini 4 is going to be excellent
not at coding, but at writing. gemini has historically been the best when it comes to writing, and by a good margin
and it's good getting a model that's actually good at writing, especially now that most models are shit at creative and human-like writing
@_ak_111 fable 5.5 for sure
bel is going to come out afterwards. the only way i see bel coming before fable 5.5 is if it turns out that bel is actually astra 6.1
@Ananth7e i want to see how they'll behave after the IPO
in a way, they can start going back to how they were before, but they'll also have shareholders to keep happy, so listening to customers could become even more crucial
