Land accidents. Vehicle congestion and non existent road safety. Lack of parking and out of control drivers.

Notwithstanding the knee jerk sudden @MMuizzu @GovernmentMv reactions, I am positive towards the general trend to hold to the perpetrators to account.

But if this week is any indication, this administration is only about punishment and punishment only. Not a single thought has been given to the needs of the victims of the perpetrators.

I am reminded of @MDPSecretariat MP @MohamedKudu, his efforts to provide meaningful assistance to such victims. He submitted a bill for "Comprehensive Motor Insurance" that would address the medical/other needs of ALL those involved in accidents - after consultations with victims and insurance companies.

The bill was submitted early 2026 and rejected out of hand by @pnc_secretariat and thrown out, no thought given to the gaps the bill was trying to address.

For his labours, Kudu was called out as "in cahoots with the insurance companies to make a buck".

I would ask you, the people, to consider this or other recourses for the victims. Make victims the focus, get in touch with your MPs or Kudu. Ensure your voices are heard, and heard loud.

Yesterday it was Samaau and today it’s Aisha, both highly competent and educated in their respective fields.

Both of them were replaced by incompetent fools.

Samaau who’s educated in human rights was replaced by a music composer, to Human Rights Commission.

Aisha who’s educated in econometrics was replaced by an IT degree holder (and an irrelevant Education PhD), to Chief Statistician position.
