When do the Jodie and Kit story lines end? When can we expect Carla back with a big story line that will allow her to have more than 30 secs of speaking lines per ep? #Corrie needs to stop introducing so many new characters and stop giving them all the screen time when the legacy and core characters are rarely ever seen on screen. We aren’t tuning in to see Jodie, Kit, and Ross.

Exactly! They keep introducing new people and they get all the scenes. Their SL are boring and no one is invested because they are new and no one knows anything about them. Kit isn’t new but he doesn’t have any connection to anyone, he’s bent and rude, and doesn’t need to be in every SL! Swarla are amazing and there are other core characters that could be in more episodes too! This is coming up on 20 years for Ali King and she’s barely been in this year! And when she is, it’s a few seconds and she’s gone! Bring back the core characters and the hour long eps! #corrie

@snationed Exactly. I get that it’s not The Swarla show, but they are popular and should be featured more. But it’s also not the Kit and Jodie show and yet they are in every episode with multiple scenes and tons of dialogue.

There was so much more they could have done that would have made it fun and interesting. So many loose ends to tie up. But it seems that they squandered that entirely when Ali had to take leave or they had never planned it in the first place. The SL itself could have been wrapped up by October/November but it also seems they wanted to make sure Swarla were in Corriedale so they drug it out longer for that. After the first three weeks maybe in September, the story just kept repeating itself. It wasn’t until Ali returned to the screen after being kidnapped that the action picked back up and that was December. Over two months of nothing or the same thing. Then everything happened in a hurry, Carla being found, Lisa/Becky/Betsy running away, the crash, Becky is arrested and put in prison and Swarla reunite. I think they also knew this SL was wildly unpopular and people wanted Swarla back together. Some times when the scenes didn’t flow it appeared that some scenes were cut because they knew they would lose the core Swarla audience if they went down certain paths. Christmas Eve was too far! It’s a shame they didn’t explore all the bent stuff Becky was up to and we didn’t get a trial to see any of it revealed either.

@snationed Yes! She could frame this very differently for Lisa and Lauren. While this seems violent to them because of the end result, she knows true se*ual violence and she knows that what happened with Betsy wasn’t the same as what happened to her.
