@ctvwinnipeg Amazing how much bigotry, racism, hate and ignorance can get in the way of facts and history. So in some cases, when we celebrate Canadian contributions in WW1 & and WW2, we are also celebrating Sikh contributions as well, turban, kirpan et all!
@ctvwinnipeg None of you had an issue when we wore our kirpans to come save the West from the same Nazis you're now bootlicking....you can thank that kirpan and turban in English....you would have been speaking German if it wasn't for that kirpan and turban.
@ctvwinnipeg The Battle of Hong Kong was a direct CanadianβSikh connection in WWII. Canadian troops defended Hong Kong alongside Sikhs. Together, they fought Japanese forces in combat before the colony fell.
@ctvwinnipeg During the Second World War, Sikh and Canadian troops fought Axis forces together in the North African Campaign under British command. Both forces continued through Sicily and Italy.
@ctvwinnipeg During the First World War, Sikh soldiers and Canadian troops fought side by side at the Second Battle of Ypres in Belgium. Regiments like the 47th Sikhs, Ludhiana Sikhs, and Ferozepore Sikhs faced the first large-scale poison gas attacks on the Western Front together.
@JillCo Sorry....we've already taken over the large and smaller cities across the country. We are now in phase 2 of the scheme. Please bare with us as we complete thus stage. Thank you for your patience ππ½
@AirCanada They messed up the media event this morning and are in a mad scramble to fix it... but making it worse and worse. This is a PR crash and I can't look away! Case studies in schools will be done on this in marketing classes!!!
@sarahcstock Guess where they stolen the red serge uniform from! The Sikh Cavalry. If we want to go back and stay true to the roots, let's switch the Stetson for the Turban. Know your history before you embarrass yourself anymore and try and ignite your followers with misinformation.
