"In software, we rarely have meaningful requirements. Even if we do, the only measure of success that matters is whether our solution solves the customer's shifting idea of what their problem is." -Jeff Atwood
@ThePracticalDev @humrochagf @luke_garrigan The programming language that changed my life is XSLT. Thinking in terms of patterns and match expressions in a declarative fashion. I was lucky to have an opportunity to learn from and work with Ken Holman, an awesome instructor and extremely patient and supportive coworker.
@peteaven I have been trying to convince my boys to watch it with me. I remember it being a favorite of mine in the 80s. Hoping I still enjoy it and that they don’t think it’s dumb. I’ve been hyping it a lot!
You know what really grinds my gears?
People who use chat at work going
"Hi"
and then wait
and wait
and wait
and wait
until you react.
It's so wasteful. It's so impolite. Write what you want, for Pete's sake. That's what a chat tool was made for. 🙄
Q. What are Story Points?
A. Story Points are a way of making developers deliver faster by asking them for a random number, and then saying, “That seems a little high,” until they say a smaller number.
RT if you’ve been making web things so long you remember the days when you had to download Firebug so you could have a web console.
Wow. What a game changer that was.
Not surprisingly, the new, Chromium based Microsoft Edge browser now uses #libxslt instead of #MSXML for #XSLT 1.0 and reports system-property('xsl:vendor') therefore as libxslt. And as Chrome, it doesn't support xml-stylesheet from the file system anymore.
@sethadam1@Walmart Cancel the account and sign up with your actual email (typing carefully) and stop whining. It does seem dumb that there isn’t a co formation link, but it happened with @disneyplus. Deal with it and move on
