This #comic was drawn as a #parody of CryptoPunks by @larvalabs, one of the early theme-based portrait collections of rare digital art. My cartoon satire rendition was drawn as a live performance using ink on paper at the May 2018 Ethereal conference in New York as part of its #cryptoart exhibit curated by @cryptoartsy. Later that year I colored the piece on the computer. This artwork features one punky pixelated character declaring his preference to be called by a slightly more sophisticated name. "Ruffian," for those not from the 1800s, is the old-old-school word for "punk."
