@flydotio 👋🏻 I was reading and "We’re not big believers in “tech debt”. We have a 3-month “no refactoring” rule for new hires" got my attention. Can you go explain a bit more what do you mean by "not big believers in “tech debt”" and why you don't let new hires do refactorings?
@TenwaysEBike hi! my local shop told me that I'd have to wait 2 months to get a Tenways because they are not getting orders delivered. Is that so? Your website still says 2 days ship time
@Centauro_es hola!
@TenwaysEBike hey I'm thinking of buying one of your wonderful bikes to pull my kids trailer. There's a pop up store in Berlin till the 28th of July. Do you know if I can bring my trailer and have it attached to the bikes?
@TenwaysEBike do you know of users that take the CGO600 Pro to pull kids trailer? I like the bike but I'm wondering if the single gear would be limiting
The paper defines a dirty write as "w1[x]...w2[x]...((c1 or a1) and (c2 or a2) in any order)" so writes are not based on any prior read (uncommitted). So, is the definition in the book based on some other paper/theorem, etc. or is it compatible with that from the paper I mention?
@ifesdjeen Your book is great! One question: reading chapter 5, the book says "A dirty write is a situation in which one of the transactions takes an uncommitted value (i.e., dirty read), modifies it, and saves it. ..."
... In other
words, when transaction results are based on the values that have never been committed."
I recently read the paper "A Critique of ANSI SQL Isolation Levels" and I understood dirty writes differently
