Prof, I believe you're writing from the POV we colloquially describe as, "I mean well for you."

Yet, the subtext of your writing encourages moral ambivalence and to an extent, corrupt complacency.

Those are really the bane of our society. A situation where people are afraid to take principled stand on very weighty issues for fear of consequences.

Please encourage us to take solid moral stance on issues like this, not to look the other way. If Prof Nnenna Oti had wondered about getting bigger govt appointments, she'd have caved in, and Abia State would not have had Alex Otti who eventually sought for you, and chose your competence over party and other self-serving sentiments.

The values we espouse now would shape several generations after us.

I don't much, but I for one, would not accept such a poisoned chalice of an appointment.
