I am excited to announce that I have successfully defended my PhD and have published my PhD thesis on “Learning with Differentiable Algorithms”. 🎉

In the thesis, I explore how we can make discrete structures like algorithms differentiable. [1/13]
@sina_lana @ngutten I think there's two situations where that may happen: 1) you and the other source have the same type of information about the variable of interest (redundant information) 2) only you and nobody else has information about the variable of interest (unique information).
We just released EvoJAX, a hardware-accelerated neuroevolution toolkit built on top of JAX!
EvoJAX can run a wide range of evolution experiments within minutes on a TPU/GPU, compared to hours or days on CPU clusters.

New post from @alanyttian about his work on CLIP-guided Evolution Strategies for abstract visual arts. It's amazing what you can do with a few triangles📐🎨: https://t.co/WMJ9HRPX9U
This reminds me of what I like about research.
I'm more interested in research that tries to solve problems that had not been possible before (0→1), and less interested in research that incrementally improves the performance metrics of well-studied tasks.https://t.co/OqzkkP2g3M
@emilyldolson Thanks for sharing, @emilyldolson . For those of you who might be interested to learn more, here's a link to the paper - https://t.co/2wKYQoobJJ
