Took care of a sweet little old couple today that has been married for 65 years. So I asked “What’s the secret?”, and he told me if God isn’t in it then walk away. That’s the best advice I’ve been given so far.
Boys make false promises.
Men of God honor their commitments.
Boys prey on you.
Men of God pray for you.
Boys focus on "me."
Men of God sacrifice for "you."
Boys tear down.
Men of God raise up.
Boys blame others.
Men of God take responsibility.
1 Corinthians 13:11
People are going to talk about you, whether you’re alive or dead, succeeding or failing, at your highest high or lowest low. Talk is cheap, don’t let talk bring your value down. Don’t worry about other people’s opinions, focus on you.
I don’t want to strive for success. If it’s not what God wants for me, I don’t want it either. I don’t want to put anything before Him. He deserves to be first in EVERY part of my life since you know...He created me!!!
You’re gonna be okay. You’re gonna graduate. You’re gonna get through today, tomorrow, and then the day after that.
Keep working hard.
Keep pushing through.
However, in the busyness remember to breathe. Breathe and praise the One who has it all together, even when you don’t.
If you’ve got pain
He’s a pain taker
If you feel lost
He’s a way maker
If you need freedom or saving
He’s a prison-shaking Savior
If you’ve got chains
He’s a chain breaker
I believe that relationships don’t work out because we put value on things that have a time limit, such as gifts or sudden urges. When you put your priorities in God, a timeless subject, the relationship will flourish and strengthen both of the individuals
be real with God & your emotions. it’s one hundred percent ok to be angry. confused. broken. wonderous. curious. overwhelmed. engulfed. hopeful. exposed. enraged. anxious. all of these emotions— are ok. God is not afraid of them. give them to Him. be real.
I think God makes our lives hectic in order to remind us that He’s in control and that we shouldn’t worry about things that He has already taken care of....and that’s incredibly comforting
“I went sky diving, I went Rocky Mountain climbing, I went 2.7 seconds on a bull name fu man chu” ....if you don’t sing this at the top of your lungs. We can’t hang.
