@rico_rants @jody_showdy@OneTrueA_A_Ron I’m not defending Hamas but there are examples of that outside of the US. The maroons in Jamaica. The Haitian revolutionaries. Even in the US, wouldn’t Nat Turner, John Brown, and the black Seminoles qualify?
@OfParton@ISPuuuv@AlmightyLazz The US didn’t focus on that military infrastructure. Apparently only around 10% of the casualties were military in Hiroshima.
@ISPuuuv@AlmightyLazz Also, you’re ignoring the part of the tweet talking about interned Japanese people and Native Americans, which means they are talking about the people, not “Japan”.
@ISPuuuv@AlmightyLazz It’s kinda wild to compare those things. The innocent Japanese people that got nuked were victims, irrelevant to what their military and government were doing. It’s not like they were collateral damage in an attack on a military facility, the US specifically targeted civilians.
@PunishedHeather @rico_rants “Fast talking funny guy” is (unfortunately) how to get an audience on YouTube and it kinda helps bring people in to discuss important topics. People can move on to slower, more meticulous YouTubers later. The true problem lies in his misinfo.
@cmgwwe @rico_rants @zukosmadre They did quite a bit of working within the system to get that independence. They weren’t a bunch of political outsiders, they were movers and shakers in the colonies.
@rico_rants People would either persecute you or look at you with almost divine admiration. Historically speaking though, people literally persecuted people and animals that they thought were shapeshifters. Witches, demons, fae folk, yokai, djinn, and all things similar were shapeshifters.
