My air conditioning broke yesterday and it has been 83 in the house all day (95 outside). I got it fixed this afternoon and am so grateful for all the air conditioning/heat repairmen to work in extreme temperatures to make our life comfortable.
HIDDEN SECRETS EVERY DIABETIC SHOULD KNOW
1. Walking 10–15 minutes after meals lowers sugar fast.
2. Stress can spike glucose even more than food.
3. Sleep deprivation raises blood sugar overnight.
4. Cinnamon and apple cider vinegar improve insulin sensitivity.
5. Hydration is a silent sugar stabilizer — dehydration raises levels.
6. Protein first, carbs last reduces post-meal spikes.
7. Building muscle improves sugar control more than weight loss.
8. Poor gut health can worsen insulin resistance and glucose regulation.
9. Low-glycemic fruits like berries cause slower, smaller blood sugar rises.
10. Regular resistance training improves long-term blood sugar control.
11. Consistent daily habits matter more than short-term fixes for glucose balance.
Yet another friend with a child turning 16 next week. Hasn’t gotten a learner’s permit. Zero interest in a driver’s license. I keep hearing this same story.
What’s WRONG with these kids?!?! On my 16th birthday, my mom took me out of school to take my driving test. Same for everyone I knew.
Even if you couldn’t afford your own car, you could beg the use of the family station wagon occasionally. Freedom. Independence. Heck, privacy on a date! Are these kids giving all that up for scrolling TikTok and an occasional Uber?
@StephenFleming I have an older child who doesn't drive (but have their license) because they lost their best friends in car accidents immediately after getting their license. It made them extremely cautious.
