@dbloom@FedEx@sfbike Driveway parking is also illegal... I would prefer to legalize perpendicular parking instead since it’ll narrow the road in itself
After another recall of an elected official for literally doing what they said they would do, here’s a quick guide for aspiring candidates in SF if you end up elected:
- keep campaign promises, get recalled
- break campaign promises, get voted out
- do nothing, get reelected
Elon is exploiting H1B visa workers—who know they can’t quit because they’ll be deported— so he holds them hostage until 1AM in the morning to stroke his ego
Sad to say I just unfollowed Vala after years because it’s now clear his values are utterly toxic
The fact that Ann Hsu is winning a school board seat after sharing her perspective about how little Black people value education proves that racism is not a dealbreaker for San Francisco voters 🤷🏾♂️
@JonathanCOnP@RedwoodGirl An inflationary immune response is what seems to happen here, which is frequent in persistent/chronic infections - resulting in more activated cells
A number’s game, really- if your antiviral response results in the expansion of virus specific cells, they’ll mask the naive cells
@JonathanCOnP@RedwoodGirl The TACT account concludes from this that the virus depletes antiviral immune cells (which they claim would explain the viral immunity deficit observed) when only a subset of *naive* T & B cells is “absent” (which is most likely due to technical limitations such as downsampling)
Anyway just another example of how people with too much time and money on their hands dictate the agenda in SF
Rec & Parks + supes like @D4GordonMar know exactly where the urgent needs are in terms of public space for (youth) sports and instead choose to listen to these folks
Infuriating this bougie hobby that didn’t exist 2 years ago is capable of not only getting politicians’ attention but commandeering public space, when futsal (3,000+ SF youth players) can’t even get training space and has been trying to obtain the same thing for at least a decade
Thank you to the 300+ people who came out last night for our Pickleball Town Hall with @RecParkSF.
The diversity and passion of the pickleball community is incredible, and you have my commitment to create dedicated courts in District 4 — without years of bureaucracy.
There are so few basketball courts in SF that Rec & Parks won’t let you book them
Dedicated pickle ball courts will have to be reserved I’m sure - it’s an absurdity, we don’t even know if the sport will still be there in a few years
Keep sports equipment as flexible as possible
