Fanova travelled to the USA in January for five months to pursue his Aircraft Mechanic Licence ๐จโ๐ง. He has now returned to the country and is working with the maintenance team.

The handover between Michael and Andry was completed today ๐ค, marking a new chapter for MAF in Madagascar as Andry Rajaobelison officially steps into the role of Country Director.

Our pilot Patrick Keller completed his first flight to Marolambo with the new Grand Caravan but also his last flight to this destination.
For 16 years, Patrick has flown countless hours to Marolambo, and he is, without doubt, the pilot who has flown to Marolambo the most. ๐ฌ

Through school canteen programmes led by Convoy of Hope, many children in rural villages and in the South of Madagascar receive meals that help them stay in class and focus on learning. ๐ซ

Back in 1993, in order to facilitate transport and travels between Antananarivo and Marolambo, MAF built and paved the airstrip in Marolambo that is still in use today!

Part of MAF's work is Bible translation and distribution. MAF flew a Church of Jesus Christ in #Madagascar team from Ivato to Fianarantsoa to distribute Bibles. The journey took 1 hr instead of 10 hrs by road. The team sold 2,000 Bibles & evangelised many. @maf_madagascar
Two weeks ago MAF flew Sara and her mother home from hospital in Mandritsara, Madagascar. Sara had recovered from an operation to separate her arm from her torso, following a severe burn when she was 13.

On 19 May, Pilot Ryan Unger flew 527kg of measle vaccines and related cargo to Marolambo, Madagascar. These vaccines will reduce the risk of an outbreak, like the one in 2019 which claimed the lives of over 800 people in Madagascar (BBC News).
