Honored to have the support of @OurRevolution ! We can build a better transit system and have a better world, I intend to fight for it.
Thank you for the vote of confidence!
Michael Farrington doesn’t just advocate for better public transit — he rides RTD himself.
Michael is a housing advocate who understands that transit, housing, and affordability go hand in hand — and we're proud to endorse him!
He’s running for RTD Board District K to deliver safer service and more housing and walkable communities near transit. @MikeFromCo
Our campaign is simple: Build an @RideRTD that is safe, fast, and frequent; one that works for everyone.
I am honored to be endorsed and supported by so many organizations and advocacy groups!
Thank you for your support!
@charlenewang@stephenjpost We’re proud to endorse @MAFarrington for RTD Board, District K! Michael is running to make transit safer, more reliable, and more useful for working families.
@mnolangray Many many online voices believe that most people are being honest when they say they oppose it for being ugly (they don't, they have change and new people).
@aarmlovi Colorado has a bunch of YIMBYs running for office. @theurbaneist and @chrisFnicholson were both leads with YIMBY Denver and won in 2024, and now I am running here in 2026. We've got members on city council, in state leg, and running for congress.
@aarmlovi I think my read here is that public transit was built for very specific commuting patterns and city designs that don't really exist anymore. Rail is likely to be more attractive than AVs to residents who live near rail. It's exurb bus-heavy agencies who's future is less certain.
Yesterday RTD's board office invited all of us as candidates for RTD to come down and have a briefing on what the role of a director looks like and to meet our future colleagues.
It was so great that eight of the nine of the non-incumbent candidates showed up!
Adams continues to be in nonattainment status--this is an issue! Reducing emissions by shifting trips to buses and to cleaner fuel will help a lot!
We need an RTD that is worth giving up a car trip for!
I joined the Get More Smarter Podcast to talk about RTD, why I’m running, and what it will take fix RTD
We talked challenges facing RTD, what District K needs, and why I think we have a real opportunity to make transit work better.
