At @cannes_lions in June, we were honored to have our Pen to Right History campaign take home a Silver in the Glass Lion: The Lion for Change, and be shortlisted in Direct and Sustainable Development Goals.
The Glass Lion honors work that drives real-world impact. Our Pen to Right History campaign was launched in 2024 as a way of raising awareness around the life-changing power behind elected officials signing-off on pardons. We used a non-partisan symbol in the pen and asked friends and family of cannabis prisoners to write advocacy letters before asking politicians to use the pen to sign their pardons. The same tool used to sign convictions was now being used to call for its reversal.
On Juneteenth 2024, Maryland Governor Wes Moore used the pen to pardon more than 175,000 cannabis convictions - the largest of its kind in American history.
We’re proud of everyone who worked on this project and thrilled to see the hard work recognized! Thank you to all who supported this campaign, especially our team at @mccann who helped bring this vision to life.
We will continue fighting and looking for new ways to advance our mission until ALL prisoners are free.

Improving access to criminal record relief began as an idea. Since @BradGriffith and @BuckeyeWebDev laid the initial groundwork, 1,800+ Ohioans have received legal help through Opportunity Port, our sealing and expungement program: https://t.co/tHU1X7p3lC

Too many families are on the brink of eviction, and today’s vote means they won’t get the help they need right away.
Being housed is a right. Every tenant knows rent was due yesterday. When will our Board act with that urgency?
One year ago, I was proud to launch a historic clemency initiative – bolstering New Jersey’s reputation as the State for Second Chances.
In December, Abdur became one of the first individuals to receive a pardon or commutation. Hear more about his journey to rehabilitation and redemption.
This Father’s Day we’re remembering all the fathers still incarcerated for cannabis..
These are fathers raising their children through phone calls, letters, and prison visits while missing important milestones along the way. They make up families who are doing what they can to stay connected despite being divided by the carceral system.
No one should lose years with their children over something that is legal or decriminalized. Today we honor our constituents who are also fathers.

Thank you @GovWesMoore for signing SB 432, the Expungement Reform Act of 2025, into law!
We are thrilled that more Marylanders will now be able to move forward with their lives, access new opportunities and contribute fully to their communities—just in time for #SecondChanceMonth. 🧵

At least a dozen offenders from Western New York had their prison sentences reduced anywhere from three to 11 years under grants of clemency – but not everyone was so fortunate. https://t.co/vLS2IfN9iK
