Fight for Territories
In @SpaceCartels, one of your tasks will be to fight for territories located around your cartel's base - both unoccupied and those belonging to other players.

Acquired territories will increase the net worth of your cartel and also allow you to sign more contracts for the supply of illegal substances!

To explore nearby territories, you will need to hire a Commander.

Assigning units to a Commander
Each commander initially has 10 Attack, 10 Defense, and 10 Life. These stats can be increased by assigning units to the commander.

In @SpaceCartels, there are three types of units, each corresponding to a different statistic:

- Blitz Striker - 1 Attack Point,
- Defender Titan - 1 Defense Point,
- Lifeline Copter - 1 Life Point.

You can assign a specific number of units to each Commander, depending on the Commander's reputation. Each reputation point allows for 10 units to be assigned.

The commander gains reputation by fighting for territories with other players.

Equipment
You can boost your commander by equipping him with equipment that you obtain while plundering nearby territories.

Equipped gear boosts a commander's stats by a percentage. So, if a commander has 100 attack units and we equip a weapon that adds a 10% attack boost, the attack power increases to 110.

Occupying Territories
Your commander can move around the map and occupy neighboring territories.

If a territory is empty (as will always be the case at the beginning of the game), you can occupy it without a fight. However, if the territory is already claimed by another player, you will engage in combat with them.

If you win, you'll reclaim the territory from the other player. If you lose, your commander will die - but you can still resurrect them at the Graveyard!

Law of Supply and Demand
Each resource in the game is subject to the law of Supply and Demand.

The price of each resource is variable and adjusts every turn, depending on whether purchases or sales of that resource by players dominated in the previous turn.

Example

In the first turn, players of a certain season sold a total of 100 units of steel and bought 110 units, causing demand to exceed supply by 10 units.

This situation means that the price of steel in the second turn will increase by 4.76%.

Anticipating what is worth producing and how the price of a given resource will behave can be aided by Global Events.

Global Events
In the game, you will find a tab with current and future events listed, which can affect various elements of the game - from production to market prices.

At any point in the game, we see only the current event and events for 3 turns ahead. This way, we can determine our strategy for the next 3 turns.

Example

If we see that in the next turn there will be an event that will raise the price of Uranium by 40%, it is worth investing in Uranium now!

Bank
If at any point in the game you're unsure how to invest your spare Amero, you can deposit it into the Bank for a 10% interest rate per turn.

This is one of the strategies that, when combined with compound interest, can yield very good results!

Space Cartels is a turn-based game where you become the Boss of a Cartel on Planet X in the year 2266.

Each turn lasts 8 hours, giving every player exactly that much time to make their moves in the game.

Completing a turn takes about 15 minutes, making it an ideal game for busy individuals who can't dedicate hours to a game. In Space Cartels, you play in your Free Time - essentially, when you would normally be scrolling through social media.

To start playing, players must join a Season. Each Season lasts a maximum of 21 turns, and entry tickets can be purchased from $1 - making it accessible for players with any budget. There are no additional investment requirements.

An unlimited number of players can join each Season, creating a Prize Pool. Every player receives the exact same Starter Pack (initial resources).

The goal is to invest resources from the Starter Pack in a way that maximizes the Net Worth of your cartel by the end of the Season (after 21 turns).

The higher your Net Worth, the higher your rank among players, determining your share of the total Prize Pool.

The game is purely skill-based, similar to Chess, making it impossible to gain an advantage by investing more real money to boost performance.

If a player decides to play in a Season with more than the minimum $1, they still receive the same Starter Pack and are subject to the same rules. However, by playing with a higher amount, a player participates in multiple pools at the same time.

For example, by playing with $3, you participate in the pool for players who play with $1, $2, and $3. This means that playing with a higher amount multiplies your potential winnings, but does not make you stronger in the game itself!
