I know some people have turned on Ed Sheeran for inviting Macklemore in the first place. That was a big mistake but I think it was also a big eye-opener for Sheeran.

I wondered what he would do when all his opening acts and even his own band canceled on him.

Well, I’m happy to see that Sheeran is a true artist and he didn’t let down his fans.

Instead of being beaten, he went out alone with the guitar and absolutely smashed it in the stadium. For two hours he was once again the artist of his beginnings.

The irony is that Macklemore and all these Jew-hating Irish bands that cried about being canceled actually hoped to have Sheeran canceled. They and the mob that follows them wanted to destroy Sheeran's tour and silence him.

But he went out there anyway. And that's what we need right now. We need relief from the madness. We need to be able to go to a concert and not be bombarded with political statements. We need to be able to come together and be united by the music for an hour or two and forget all the troubles in our lives. Art should lift us up and heal our souls not fill us with hate.

This nation belongs to us just as much as it belongs to anyone else. Black Americans have fought in every war this country has ever had. We even fought in the Civil War that ultimately secured our freedom.

No nation is perfect, and every country has its flaws, but I still believe the United States is the greatest nation on Earth. There is no place I’d rather live.

Today, I’ll be celebrating the Fourth of July with my friends and family, enjoying barbecue and watching fireworks just like millions of other Americans. If you don’t want to celebrate, that’s your choice. But if you have a problem with those of us who do, keep that negativity to yourself. And if America is truly that terrible in your eyes, nobody is stopping you from packing your bags and moving somewhere else.
