@DMcCurdy36 as far as i read he had several documented “incidents” of violent crimes, specifically against women. the woman who died wasnt even the only woman he attacked that day. just disgusting. these lax punishments against violent offenders just leads to more blood.
@indigoasterism @AisSkeet yea, the effects of estrogen and hrt are very understudied! huge example of medical transmisogyny. I don’t agree with the post that says trans women have “amab privilege” in a medical sense. in general i think that reading is in bad faith which i said in another reply.
@JackLanter8402 dude. i am a feminist. one of my biggest interests is reading feminist texts, especially older ones. i am not arguing that this was a terrible thing that happened to her.
@JackLanter8402 i think it was bad. and i think pointing out that she was forcibly given a lobotomy because she was disabled is good to raise awareness about. jeez.
@AisSkeet @indigoasterism theres a lot that are also experienced by trans women, but also females are more likely to have a chronic illness in general and some which arent disorders of the reproductive system etc. are also way more likely in females (i have two chronic illnesses that fit in this category)
@AisSkeet @indigoasterism actually i have more to say about this! i dont think ignoring the fact that there are female-exclusive oppression in medical settings (like i said before with conditions that primarily effect females) is doing anyone any favors. 🤷♀️
