@polaroidstew a lot of the schools, i was trying to reference without directly naming have insane tuition which creates a barrier to entry for so many people. the issue can't be solved by just saying transfer. i agree with your point it has to be fixed from the inside

@polaroidstew i didn't want to make a thread that was a pity party for everything i missed out on because of the school i chose. just because my school had research funding and industry connections doesn't mean, i had it easy, but i dont want to bring that discussion to this thread.

@polaroidstew i wasn't going to add the number of times ive been shafted because of where i went to school (believe me it has happened). i was trying to make an encouraging thread to show how you can still make do somewhere that isnt a known name and/or feeder school

@polaroidstew the thing is, i went to a random unknown school. it had good funding for research projects, as you can see. my point was, you dont have to go to purdue, embry-riddle, MIT, etc. to get a good education. i found an amazing program at a school almost no one has heard of.

so don't beat yourself up if you can't go to a known school for any reason. opportunity is out there literally everywhere, you just have to go find it.

despite the fact i went to this school, i was a teaching assistant during the last 2 years of my undergrad, i was a university innovation fellow, and i participated in the L'SPACE academy. i also got a full time job offer in aerospace many months before graduation.
