Applauding @cityoftoronto for their move to rename Dundas Square but I’m confused by the pushback, if we had streets named after nazis they would be changed in a heartbeat.

Some have called out Rota’s leadership on anti-racism issues in the past- he should go. But remember this anger when it comes to defending streets named after men who took part in the selling and killing of black people as well. Let’s be consistent.

Well, we were planning a great show today as I fill in for John Oakley this afternoon from 3-6pm, and then this happened. We'll have all the latest reactions on @am640 live this afternoon.
As someone who has given my life to serving the people through our democratic institutions, it is my responsibility to adhere to the principles of Ministerial accountability. I will continue to serve my constituents as the MPP for Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes
Great question by the media— if Premier Ford says his only job is to “represent the people” then why didn’t he keep his promise to us the people and keep his hands off the Greenbelt?!!!
My colleague @ColinDMello asked Premier Doug Ford —if what happened with the Greenbelt land swaps and deals that will enrich developers to the tune of billions — is corruption.
“That’s pretty nasty you saying that.”
Colin keeps pushing on the line of questioning.
This mistreatment of migrant workers is unfortunately not new. Officials just haven’t been listening - well now there is video evidence, let’s see what happens next because there are many more farms like this one.
Is #CPR sometimes a form of assault?
@DocSchmadia joined 640 Toronto's @maggsjohn to talk about a fascinating piece in The New Yorker magazine.
The story walks through the ineffectiveness of CPR, especially when administered to the elderly or very sick.
There are a lot of people and parents who will be holding the @tdsb to this statement. Our Black children have gone through too much in Toronto schools. A commitment to an Anti-Racism strategy looks like every child getting equal treatment and a stop to suffering in silence.
“.@tdsb commitment to an inclusive, equitable and accessible education for all students is unwavering. Students need our resolve in continuing to understand their lived experiences.” Read the full statement. https://t.co/3CwFAzDzRS
If you didn’t hear the show yesterday here is a link to my 10 minute monologue and interview with Parents of Black Children. #racism

I’ve been chomping at the bit to talk about this and share my take. Join me tomorrow morning on Toronto This Weekend on @am640 between 7am and 10am. We are going in! #truth#racism
I obtained a recording of 2 sessions in an anti-racism training that’s been wrongly linked to an ex-Principal’s suicide. It reveals a fuller picture of a disagreement that has been cherry-picked, shorn off context, nuance by anti anti-racists. Pls read:

Why isn’t there more outrage about this? We took Ukrainian and Syrian refugees into our homes. Why isn’t there an effort to do the same here. Asylum seekers flee for security. If we can’t take care of them close the borders until the levels of govt get their act together.
‘I feel like I’m not welcome here’: Refugees and organizations speak out as officials meet to address ‘crisis’ on Toronto streets https://t.co/WVc5RQOBjm
It is great to see the companies that made this list, even more interesting to see who didn’t.
Hats off to the those who see active DEI as an important part of creating safe spaces for all. https://t.co/DaONukWLEv
@afixedaddress thank you for being on @am640 Toronto This Weekend today. I don’t understand why more people aren’t talking about this important story! https://t.co/TXc6GIGNJh
