@seraleev If Apple is starting to show ads more
it probably means ads performance is going to improve over time
People optimising early for the new apple search ads might have a competitive advantage
That was my main concern too
Which is why I use the self hosted version for production and cloud stuff only for testing and prototyping
Since it's on my server, I own the data. You can connect it to a postgres instance if you want or by default it uses a sqlite file
If you ever want to move all of that data to something else though I you would need to write some custom scripts
You can export your data which is what I use for backups. But that can only be imported back into a convex instance
The biggest pros are the realtime sync, type safety and cron jobs. Haven't tried the file storage stuff yet but I'm pretty confident thats good too
Hope thats helpful
@lorikmor Pretty reliable.
I only started using it after they made it available for self hosting.
Have used their cloud platform and also the self hosted version for around 1.5 - 2 years now
Never switching backends again
@pedrobuilds oh okayโฆ hmmm
tbh the support wasnt too helpful for me but maybe for you it would be different.
go to your meta account centre and prove your identity because thats the first thing they will ask you to do
@pedrobuilds I did the same
A good sign for you is you're probably still within 180 days so you can dispute stuff easily
Wish you all the best and hope you get it back!
@cormachayden_ very thoughtful post
I love seeing stuff like this
Congrats on all of your progress and thanks for sharing like many others to show that it is actually possible
Best of luck for the future as well!
