What is the incentive pendulum?:
Magi depends on two things staying in balance:

Liquidity (funds in pools)
Security (staked collateral)

The Pendulum automatically shifts rewards toward whichever side is lacking.
Too little security? → More rewards to node operators
Too little liquidity? → More rewards to LPs
It constantly pulls the system back to a healthy ratio:
1.5× security over liquidity

Why this matters for Hive:

This is a real new use case:
HIVE → staked as collateral securing cross-chain value
HBD → unit of account, pricing & rewards
HIVE is no longer just held
it’s actively securing liquidity and earning yield

The EVM integration work is mostly complete and working end to end on the Magi testnet.
We are going through final testing and should have it ready soon to release with $DASH.

We're also building ZK proof verification for the EVM integration.
In plain terms: right now every validator node on the network would need to run a full Ethereum node alongside Magi, which adds significant hardware cost and complexity. ZK proofs solve this.

This keeps validator requirements lean and affordable as the network grows, which matters a lot when you're supporting dozens of chains.

Hardware cost that multiplies per validator, per chain doesn't scale which is already visible with other projects solving similar problems to the ones we are trying to solve in the crosschain space.

Finally, work is underway on the Incentive Pendulum, the mechanism that enables validators to earn fees from swaps.
This is one of the key remaining pieces before we can meaningfully grow our liquidity pools.

The Magi SDK v1.0 is now available for integration!

This changes what any Hive connected website can do.
Under the hood: a self-contained cross-chain swap widget built on Magi.

Four integration modes:
1. React component
2. Web Component
3. SDK-only headless,
4. BTC deposit flow with no wallet required.

Pool-derived pricing, CSS variable theming, neutral defaults out of the box.

What that means for you: drop native BTC and HIVE swaps into your website in 5-10 minutes and earn a % on every single trade. (default is 0% so you need to apply your own rate)
No redirects. No third-party exchanges. Your users never leave your platform.

If you run a Hive frontend, a wallet, a game, a blog you can become a cross-chain liquidity aggregator overnight.
One component, your referral address, done.
This is what DeFi infrastructure is supposed to look like.

Currently v1 is Hive ecosystem facing. You can connect the widget to any hive signer you want (even private key auth). Future additions to the SDK will allow for easy integrations with partners outside the Hive ecosystem and Bitcoin/EVM wallet connections.

Two days ago we launched the first trustless, non-custodial swaps on Magi with HIVE/HBD and BTC/HBD pools.

The launch went better than expected and only minor bugs surfaced that were swiftly dealt with. Right now, we are starting work on UI optimisation for Altera and the Incentive Pendulum that will allow for validators/node runners to start earning rewards for securing the chain.

Over the next couple of days, starting with $DASH, $Ethereum and $USDC, we will be adding more liquidity pools.

The community support has been overwhelmingly positive and we want to repay the community by continuing to deliver at this accelerated pace for as long as we can.

We executed the first native BTC swaps on Magi in both directions.

Real Bitcoin came in, hopped through HBD as settlement, and arrived as native HIVE on Hive mainnet. Reversed: HIVE through HBD and out as real BTC on Bitcoin mainnet, completely trustless, TSS signed, without bridges, wrapped tokens, and middlemen.
