A recent study I worked on was just published: "Real-world use of nirmatrelvir-ritonavir in COVID-19 outpatients..."

Data from #Colorado and #Utah. My role consisted of data ingestion, cleaning, and feature engineering using #SQL and #BigQuery.
The work was based on analysis of healthcare system data from US and International locations. #R#SQL#BigQuery and some #Python were employed. An MD friendly version based on our work has been published as well: https://t.co/XpPkwRWoLV
A project I've been working on using #datascience to help solve pediatric sepsis was published recently: Development and Validation of the Phoenix Criteria for Pediatric Sepsis and Septic Shock https://t.co/nmkswnhhJN - Available Jan 21, 2024 as part of the #SCCM2024 conference
My colleagues and I investigated risk factors of post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 (aka long covid). Now available for all to read: https://t.co/jSXnVdAuJo
Some of my recent work:
https://t.co/6Z492p23PH
Sotrovimab did not reduce hosp compared to all untreated patients. Sotrovimab may reduce hosp rates in the highest-risk outpatient subgroups.
Sotrovimab treatment benefit during Delta was markedly attenuated w/Omicron BA.1.
@pathofexile While I'm not color blind, I agree with others that it is unclear which is vulnerable vs resistant based on the information provided in the screenshots.
Some COVID mAb research that I've been working on: Rxiv: https://t.co/PXxTpOpeDL My portion involved heavy use of @googlecloud - primarily GBQ with some #RStats Much of the infrastructure was from @michaelames
Found about some new #OpenData coming soon for #DataScientists and others. US 1950 Census data will be available April 1, 2022. https://t.co/kBTRtn1E1E @FamilySearch@Ancestry will be doing #ocr and other processing to help make data more accessible https://t.co/aUQEQFC7Qi
CU Anschutz is looking for a #dataScientist to help with work on the National COVID Cohort Collaborative to understand post-acute SARS-CoV-2 (@data2health) and improve outcomes. https://t.co/CEtOPJHdkR Use your skills to make a difference in real life!
@chapmanbe Thanks for sharing this beautiful article! I recall learning about fusion back in 8th-grade science class. Was super excited back then. Hopefully, this will become a reality before I die.
Gave an NLP presentation today for 2021 @CoprhCon materials available including classification example using @GoogleColab and @fastdotai at https://t.co/csvGNn3biH Video recording should be available in the near future.
Just got some of my work with Matthew D Galbraith and Joaqúın M Espinosa published in eLife: https://t.co/P8W688jL5L My part was primarily data engineering and curation using @hdcompass
@karen_eilbeck@bjonesbrown@sltrib I find that Mr. Kirby’s writing is generally one part humor, one part sarcasm, and one part fresh perspective on old problems. Makes sense to me that average person is confused by the term Doctor - same way a 3 yr old is with multiple people being named “Dad”
@jonjensen0 CentOS has been for many companies the perfect Linux distribution. This move might change that. Recently, I've preferred Ubuntu LTS over CentOS for the servers I manage, but not sure if this move will push people from a Redhat based distro to a Debian based distro
