@Royalrockateer @OccupyWpg @vandalibm I read further down the thread and better understand your criticism of Disney now. Sorry I was flip with my language!
@Royalrockateer @OccupyWpg @vandalibm Previous live-action (or "live-action" style CGI) remakes of "Disney Renaissance" era animated films (Aladdin, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast) each grossed over $1 million, but do go off about how "people" don't want any remakes.
@TheRealEDP2000 @shrimpchakras @king_of_limb Ah yes, grown-ass men telling preteen/teen girls that the things they actually like aren't good enough and they should like other things. It was tired 25 years ago and it hasn't gotten any fresher since then.
@joshshepperd Yes. I went to one movie pre-Omicron with my kids and their cousins, and it was Clifford. I cannot get over the fact that the only movie I've seen in theaters in nearly two years was Clifford the Big Red Dog.
As a parent, Coloradan, and anxious human, I'm glad about this. As someone trained in library and information science who follows a lot of current librarians, I'm not sure if public libraries are the best distribution point

@FreeTransform Not quite the same, but John Scalzi's Old Man's War series has more than one narrator and many invented nouns (e.g. names of alien species). I really wish an editor/producer/etc had created a pronunciation guide for later narrators so it would be standardized.
I just wrote a review on Rogue Squadron Dark Teal Rug. We call it our "secret nerd rug" and it's so helpful with baby led weaning our 6 month old! https://t.co/bfMrbuVevu via @yotpo
@Lady_Historian If you're game for fantasy/alt history, Ghost Talkers by Mary Robinette Kowal is a fun WWI-set supernatural spy thriller with a cool female protagonist.
@oliviamdh Yup. It was the middle school musical when I was in I think 1st or 2nd grade. It was the early 90s at a small private PreK-8 school that usually one or two Jewish students per grade.

He's gone. And now, it is up to us to drive out what he represents. He is lies and bigotry and injustice and tyranny embodied--and the work is only beginning to drive him out of our body politic.
Joy, today.
Resolve, tomorrow.
