“‘𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐞’ will do ... 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒏𝒐𝒘.” the sorceress’ voice dripped with mischief.

“you must tell me of the academy at Ban Ard; i’d like to know if it lives up to its so very average reputation.”

— taking the offered paper, eyes scanning it over after a moment. truth is, he'd probably let maylin order on his behalf, given her knowledge of what is good.

[Atticus @magicisvas]

Atticus was quiet, happy to just watch the interaction between maylin and the older woman from behind the counter. who he did offer a friendly smile, at the very least.

“It certainly does.” an agreement to the scent of the shop, a comforting smell, heavenly in fact. —

A wide smile was given to Atticus and then to the older woman right behind a bar counter who pushed up her glasses.

"Ah, Lady Maylin, pleasure seeing you back in town!
Come for a hot meal with your friend?"

Fear, it was something that cannot be shaked when looked at from their view of life. a life of those constantly hunted.

But there is strength in numbers.

Eyes catch the writing on the sign, committing it to memory should he ever be in town on his own.

The scent that wafted —

Truer words have never been written, but there is still that underlying fear in her gut..thankfully with Atticus following her for a meal it eases up.

Strength in numbers, right?

Leading the way across the townsquare and a bit more east, they finally arrive at a cosy wooden

A nod of his head, soft smile as he walks with her towards the townsquare.

They tend to have a few things they believe work against magic, but like most people in the continent; they don't.

Like those is toussaint who bought stakes to kill the vampires when it was more threatening. They read somewhere it works, but do not truly know.

“Lead on —

Fair.
Atleast she has not encountered one yet atleast on a close range. She hasn't taken one out either; not knowing if they have magic suppressants or not makes it tricky, especially if there are multiple.

A wide smile appears on her face, a soft chuckle following afterwards.

[Atticus @magicisvas]

If he were asked; he wouldn't call them people, monsters was a far more appropriate descriptor. Fanatics, zealots too.

It wasn't exactly easy to trust just like that, but she hadn't given him any reason not to have some trust in her.

The basket held easily in his arms, the —

Those people, that wish to hurt mages or sorcerers of any kind, make her skin crawl just thinking of them.
If she ever does such a thing know she was most likely under some kind of serum or spell; never will she shame snd show one of her own.

So she is very glad he trusts

Truth be told, he wasn't a very picky man, but even if he were; she sold him easily on the place she referenced.

“With an endorsement like that, I absolutely have to give them a try, —

“I offered to carry the basket, it is by no means an issue for me to continue to do so.”

he likes to be, useful; helpful, it is no trouble on his part.

[Atticus @magicisvas]

It was the nature of most people, human and otherwise, the connection to talk, to have company. Something many seem to take for granted.

He's usually more cautious with strangers, mainly due to the whole being a mage thing, some aren't too kind about that.

Some would sell —

She'd describe her home as a sanctuary of some kind, atleast to her and her cat. They could stay there for days without worries but she did crave human connection to some degree.

That might be a reason she starts talking to strangers much easier than some.

It's wise to have a place none can find, especially with how things are for those like them.

He waited as she checked her list to make sure they'd grabbed everything she needed before heading away.

He has a feeling it's —

@liittleweasel “Ah, I see.. I can make something that tastes a tad better, and more effective.”

Some, potions in general have that awful taste, with small adjustments.. it can be dulled a little.

“that does make it easier, and of course you have my concern and discretion.”

[Atticus @magicisvas]

is it flattery if it is the truth? or is it both fact and flattery? the glint in her eyes did no go unnoticed, a grin played his features.

“you would do that for me? well, consider me quite honored.”

flattery would get him 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦— the mage’s lips were already stretching into a conceited smile, eyes taking on a flirtatious glint.
