First look at a new logo for Greta Gerwig’s ‘NARNIA’!
On-set logos are often temporary and don’t always reflect the final marketing design, but they can offer an early sense of the logo’s overall style and visual direction.

Carey Mulligan says Greta Gerwig’s ‘NARNIA’ has been so secretive she’s “almost afraid” to admit being cast.
“It’s terrifying. I have never been in anything where it’s been this secretive, it’s quite thrilling.”
Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew debuts in IMAX on November 26th.
@NarniaWeb There’s a perfect mix of star power and fresh faces here. I especially love Mulligan, Mackey, Holbrook-Smith and the casting for Digory and Polly!
However… there does seem to be one giant miscast here which prevents me from loving the ensemble 😅

Nearly a year has passed since reports first indicated that Meryl Streep was in talks to portray Aslan in Greta Gerwig’s upcoming ‘NARNIA’ adaptation.
An interview now appears to finally confirm her involvement, though not specifically as Aslan.

The Wood Between the Worlds sequence will appear in Netflix’s ‘NARNIA’ as we’ve learned that a real guinea pig was used during filming last year.
While much from set remains under wraps, Greta Gerwig previously referenced the Wood Between the Worlds in a 2023 interview when describing her stage in the preparation process for The Magician’s Nephew:
“There’s a thing in one of his books called the Wood between the Worlds. That’s where I am. It’s a wood that goes on forever, you can’t see the sky, it’s so dense, you can’t see the end of it.
And there are all these pools and at the bottom of each pool is a universe. […] The problem with the the Wood between the Worlds is that you can often forget what you’re doing there (laughs). This is actually a feature of it. You kinda get a little bit of amnesia.
So you have to remember, ‘where am I going? Which world am I trying to get to now?“

Irish actress Denise Gough (Star Wars: Andor) was first confirmed to have a role in Netflix’s upcoming adaptation of ‘Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew’ in 2025, however she has remained conspicuously tight-lipped about the nature of that role ever since.
NarniaWeb has received information which indicates that Denise Gough might be playing Aunt Letty in the film. Netflix declined to comment on our findings so this information should be taken with a grain of salt.
Gough, who recently turned 46, is also well placed to play the middle sibling of both Daniel Craig (58) as Uncle Andrew, and Carey Mulligan (40) as Mabel Kirke, Digory’s mother.
Carey Mulligan on working with Greta Gerwig on Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew:
“Oh my goodness, I loved it. I want to work with Greta forever. Seeing her in her element directing was just amazing – she’s just unbelievable. I’ve not seen a single moment where she has looked stressed or unhappy or any sort of normal emotion that you might feel directing an absolutely enormous film like this.
She’s a complete joy – and that was infectious to the crew. Just the happiest crew, best cast. I can't wait to see what she’s put together.”

@themoonofnarnia@NarniaWeb I expect it was exclusively domesticated animals that were used on set. Walden’s LWW had real horses, dogs, and were even close to using reindeer on set.
It’s fairly standard for large films!
@deeplyholloww@JonathanBock@NarniaWeb Agree to disagree that every bit of news has been disastrous. There’s still a lot we don’t know— and some reasons for optimism.
I have concerns too, but I’ll wait to judge the film until we see more! Fingers crossed.
All the best ☺️
Further evidence that Greta Gerwig’s ‘NARNIA’ may be leaning heavily on in-camera practical effects than just CGI.
We’ve confirmed that dozens of puppeteers and creature performers were used on set, along with live animals and animatronics.

@Prince_Rilian@Glumpuddle If what was filmed is a faithful reflection of the book, then what comes out in the final edit will most likely be as well.
But if what was filmed is a poor reflection, then even the world’s biggest fan can’t make it into one.
It all comes down to Gerwig’s script and direction.
@Prince_Rilian@Glumpuddle In my opinion, there’s a gigantic difference between an editor saying this and the “creative” writer/director.
No one (quite literally) credits a poor or successful adaptation to the person who edits the film, who, by their position, can only work with what was shot on set.
