i began following the Club #ACMilan in the summer of ‘05 - my classmate at the time, a Manchester United fan, showed me videos of Paolo Maldini, as we were both on our elementary schools soccer team and i was a defender and a good one at that but i was discouraged by not being a forward - he showed me Paolo’s moves and i was hooked ever since

he told me they had just lost the big final and that began me watching UCL that fall for the 05/06 season

we ended up winning it the year later, when i was in grade 8 and its been my team ever since those Maldini videos were shown to be over 20 years ago

never in my life would i think the Club would have gone the trajectory that it did

practically always missing the UCL and only winning the league 2x

watching those dark day games circa 2014-2020 , it was brutal

players of the level that i couldnt understand how or why the club couldnt get a “new” Pirlo, Gattuso, Nesta, Maldini, Dida, Inzaghi, Kaka, Gilardino, Seedorf, Oddo

having to watch Ibra, Silva, Pato be sold off

Muntari’s ghost goal still haunts me to this day, i lost all respect for Buffon from that moment - pulling a ball out of his net

all for Juve to go on winning for years, after Inter had been doing so

i felt we were robbed of so much

it was dark days

but, i celebrated also

the small wins

the 2016 SuperCoppa over Juve was a thrill

2021 UCL Qualification was a joy

and of course, 2022 Scudetto was a dream that i had been waiting to see again since i was a teenager

and we will have more beautiful days ahead, im certain of that

but ive found my way to #ACMilan when they were ascending to the top in Athens, only to find ourselves at the bottom of the mountain shortly after

but its in this joy, that i know ive felt and still feel for this Club, that when we win again - the happiness that i will have waiting for me will be priceless
