@thesewhocan Hey Katy! I found Angela Yu good on Udemy: https://t.co/vVOqHnOfR0. You're ahead of me in your learning, but I was on just the earliest stage of this course and it seems vast, so maybe there's material there for you. Lots of practice and building, and of course it's video based.
So happy to be a recipient of @SheSharpNL's New in Tech scholarship, giving me €1000 to put towards my #UX and #inclusivedesign training. The scholarship exists to support women and genderqueer people taking their first steps in tech. Thank you, SheSharp!
Announcing our New in Tech Scholarship winner - @magicUXlearner!
She's a project manager, facilitator & live artist, wearing many hats working with socially engaged arts charities. She's taking her first steps in tech, studying UX Design with the support of our scholarship.
It's difficult to master some UI/UX design aspects.
Interestingly, there is an easy way to learn them.
Here are 9 UI/UX design GAMES to help you improve as a designer(while having fun):
Announcing our New in Tech Scholarship winner - Christine Belzie!
She's an instructional designer, passionate about making engaging and accessible learning experiences. She'll be using SheSharp’s scholarship to continue her journey in learning how to code 💻
I miss coding already, and don't want to squander my wee bit of hard-won understanding, and I hope to come back to it. But design's cool too:) Thanks @classcentral@jesslynnrose@freeCodeCamp for running the free Responsive WebDev course and starting me off with code🤩🙏
Very reluctantly, I am hanging up my coding gloves (I don't have coding gloves!) for a while. I've started a short design course and have too much on my plate. I'm proud of getting this far:) Day 46 of #100DaysOfCode, and 75% through #freeCodeCamp's Responsive Web Design Cert.👇
I have just started learning UI basics and getting to grips with design software. For me, learning beginners' coding at the exact same time as beginners' UI is quite demanding cognitively, since they are different lenses/perspectives on the same thing!
Day 46 #100DaysOfCode
This morning I took Barbara Oakley's advice (in a @classcentral session) to run what you've learnt through your mind when you wake up, first thing. I remembered so many little conceptual things! My brain was so fresh and...knowledgeable! Thank you Barbara👍
Day 44 #100DaysOfCode
🎃 Practised inline, internal & external CSS
🎃 Investigated CSS border styles
🎃 Reminded myself that the word "margin" does not refer to a border🙄 These little concepts go in and out of my head and I wish they'd just stay there! But that is learning☺️
Day 41 #100DaysOfCode
I'm revising (with a @yu_angela course) to understand the basics of what CSS does.
