Justice is not a family privilege. It is not softened by titles, surnames, or political lineage. A senator, a congressman, a mayor, or the spouse of one does not stand above ordinary citizens—especially when accused or convicted under the same laws everyone else faces.

If anything, public office demands stricter accountability, not special treatment. Power is a trust, not a shield. To argue that a politically connected individual deserves a “better” jail because of status is to admit that the system is unequal—and to normalize it.

A “normal jail” is not an insult. It is the legal consequence prescribed by law.
What is unjust is not detention—it is the expectation of exception.

Equality before the law means this:
•Same courts
•Same procedures
•Same detention standards

Once exceptions are carved out for the powerful, justice ceases to exist and becomes mere favor.
