So proud of some of the @GarnockCampus pupils who are an important part of the @CafeSolace team! Gary & Emma gave an excellent report at the @DofEScotland Awards & it’s touching to hear their comments & learn what they feel they’ve gained from volunteering.
North Ayrshire @theSNP administration have agreed to pay the new real Living Wage rate 6 months early starting from 23rd Oct.
This will give around 764 Council employees working in predominantly frontline roles a wage increase in time for Christmas.
Well done @OneVoiceNA on a great turnout today for their Care Experienced Week celebration at the @HACIrvine⭐
Thanks to everyone who came along and to those who put their own projects forward to shine a spotlight on the work happening across our six localities.
Councillor Margaret Johnson, Cabinet Member for Health and Social Care said: “Thank you to our inspirational young people and North Ayrshire’s Corporate Parenting team for a tremendous event this Care Experienced Week to celebrate our care experienced children and young people.
“The showcase at the Harbour Arts Centre allowed attendees to explore the vital work our services are doing right across the Council to support the health and wellbeing of North Ayrshire’s care experienced community.
"From youth work, mentoring, family learning and advocacy, to employability programmes, English language support and participation in dance therapy and sports, it was incredible to learn about the impactful initiatives happening locally to #KeepThePromise
“It was also heart-warming to meet with and hear from our courageous care experienced young people who shared their own lived experiences as we continue to put their rights and interests right at the forefront of our corporate parenting duties. Well done to all!”
Stay tuned... we have videos lined up from the event and will be sharing some of them tomorrow #CEW24
If any SNP politician had lied this brazenly to win power, this clip would be played out daily by the British MSM.
Has anyone seen Anas “read my lips” Sarwar taken to task on this by a British “journalist”? Anyone at all?
First time I met Alex Salmond was when he came to Kilbirnie to endorse Kenneth Gibson for the Cunnnghame North 2007 Holyrood election. I was disillusioned by the Labour Party in North Ayrshire and Holyrood. After listening to him speak passionately about where Scotland could go in the future without the shackles of a WM Gov,who historically,as is now, would never be interested in seeing Scotland and its people prosper on its own two feet, I voted SNP for the first time and Kenneth Gibson subsequently won Cunninghame North by 48 votes. RIP Alex Salmond and condolences to his wife and family.

Brillant launch of the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival last night at the Harbour Arts Centre🎭. An amazing month-long programme has been lined up to raise awareness of mental health.
Huge well done to my colleague @Samanthahodkin1 & the team for all their hard work!

Here's the proof that Labour was aware of a so called black hole,
When in fact it was nothing more than a cynical smoke screen used by Labour to deny the #pensioners their #WinterFuelPayment
The people will never forget this!

@10DowningStreet
@GarnockHE_CS@GarnockCampus Thank you for inviting me. The baking was tremendous and the pupils did a fantastic job at the barista bar. Sorry I couldn’t stay longer. Coffee and cake were yummy.
❄️ The difference between decisions made by a Labour Westminster government and our SNP administration couldn’t be starker.
🥀 Local Labour Cllrs have split from their party on this issue, already showing the dwindling enthusiasm they have for this Labour Govt.
👏🏼 We welcome Rosie Duffield MP taking a principled approach by quitting a party that no longer reflects her values.
😬 Here in North Ayrshire we have Labour cllrs that think they can forgo responsibility for their party’s actions by simply saying “we don’t agree.”

We have produced a number of articles on our website over the last couple of years which are designed to help people understand the importance of community justice and reducing reoffending.
By sharing these articles, we aim to raise awareness of the organisations and services working to create better outcomes for people caught up in the justice system and the wider community who are impacted by justice issues, as well as learning more about the different roles involved in community justice.
Our new bite-sized series will focus on the Community Justice Ayrshire Partnership Board, who oversee the planning and delivery of community justice in Ayrshire and ensure accountability for the work of the partnership.
The first article is now available on our website and can be accessed via the link below.
