just a reminder that the Supreme Court made everyone involved in hearing the vaccine mandate case take a PCR test in advance, guaranteeing a level of protection that is wildly out of reach for nearly every worker affected by this decision
There is good news. And a lot of it.
One of public health’s biggest challenges is that when it works… it’s largely invisible. So, this is what we aren’t seeing right now.

Everyone keeps talking about covid becoming endemic, but as I listen to the conversation, it’s becoming more & more clear to me that very few of you know what “endemic” means.
So here’s a thread on how pandemics end.
Y’all screamed at customer service workers to quit if they don’t like their wages. Now y’all pissed it takes 45 minutes to get your food made in a restaurant and Starbucks closing at 7pm 😂😂😂
Remember when that study modeling COVID spread came out in March 2020 and was like “we may be looking at 1.1 million deaths” and everyone said it was being sensational and now we’re over 800,000 deaths and omicron is trying to make America 2020 again? 🥲
I mean, it’s been said constantly, but the refusal to prioritize public health over corporate profits is what doomed the pandemic response. Keeping everyone healthy was never a priority over getting low wage workers back to work.
