@WetMachete The tailpiece kit will come in different lengths, and may need to be cut shorter to fit your drain, this can be done carefully with a razor blade by marking where you want the cut on the tailpiece, and then dragging the razor around the pipe several times until it cuts through.

@WetMachete When measuring the tailpiece before you cut it, you want the bottom end to stick into the lower black pipe so the gasket can seal. I'd say at least the width of your pinky finger should be sticking into the lower black pipe.
