One of the so-called ‘leaders’ of the trucker protest, Pat King, voicing his concerns over “depopulation of the Caucasian race”. But, yeah, there’s no racism involved in this ‘Freedom Convoy’, right? 🙄
Showing no symptoms, but still opted to have a Covid-19 test today. Process was painless, took less than 5 minutes in and out the door, and results were back in less than two hours. Happy to say my result was negative. If I can do it, so can you. Get yourself tested. #covid19nfld
Per @CMOH_NL; The Friday before last, there were 6 active cases of #COVID19 in NL, today there are 298. Goes to show you how quickly things can escalate with this virus. #covid19nfld
Dr. Fitzgerald is acknowledging the support she's getting, if you are trying to give her gifts while she appreciates it she suggests helping local food banks - that would mean a lot to her. Her team appreciates the support of everyone.

Self-isolating means you can't leave your property.
If you can't isolate alone your household needs to isolate as well. This goes for Rotational workers too.

Love isn’t the only thing in the air this weekend… this #Valentines you may have to settle for a 🦠 COVID-19 swab instead of Cupid’s arrow💘. Have a safe, and happy #ValentinesDay in your household bubble! #BeMyBubbletine ♥️
I have a huge favor to ask of you all today.
It's one that can make a huge difference... If you haven't already done so, please download the #CovidAlert App. Having it will have a huge impact on our fight against the spread of COVID-19 in NL. 🙏

This is a great article that talks about the importance of correct depiction of Indigenous groups in film and how Frozen 2 did it just perfectly. #gndr10002019

Grace Millane was a 22 year old backpacking through New Zealand when she was murdered and stuffed in a suitcase. Instead of focusing on her killer, the media has chosen to focus on her sexual preferences, exemplary of victim blaming at its best. #gndr10002019
@jenny_seaward@GeorgiaThorne7 It’s incredible to see the different responses in relation to assault of men and women. Men are privileged to not have to think about assault and should use that privilege to help stop the violence that’s happening against women. #gndr10002019
@erin86126407 Until we address the issue of the violence that Indigenous women are faced with, our country will never be able to reconcile with Indigenous peoples. Violence against Indigenous women is just as important an issue as violence against white women. #gndr10002019
I love when Jackson Katz says “men can be heard saying some things that women often can’t be heard saying.” It’s such a true statement that reflects the dismissal of women in society. We often see the views of men as objective and true & question the views of women. #gndr10002019
The reason we don’t talk about violence as “men’s violence” is because by calling it such we group together all men and assume that all men are violent, an accusation that causes defensiveness in every man, therefore silencing the conversation. #gndr10002019
@AnnaAuCoin1 Women’s unpaid house work should absolutely be considered “real work” as without it many households would not function and many children and even spouses would not get fed and the cleaning would not get done. #gndr10002019
@ElianeElia1 Absolutely. There should be a requirement that every full-time job position provides health benefits. As well, people shouldn’t feel as though the only way to make a living is to work in a hostile environment that deteriorates their mental or physical health. #gndr10002019
The financial burden of children is often left to mothers, leaving many women living in poverty while trying to take care of her children & herself. Now take into account the pay gap between genders, & women are left even more vulnerable to poverty. #gndr10002019
(1/2) A person earning minimum wage in NL that works 32 hours a week only makes $364.80 before taxes. If that person has to take care of children as well, they have to pay for rent, groceries, heat/light/phone, child care, clothing, transportation, and more. #gndr10002019
