Update: The charges against the white man who was assaulted have been dropped.

The two black men who attacked him have been let off with a slap on the wrist.

And the police are still in denial.

Even after the footage went viral - and clearly absolved Harper of wrongdoing - they still pursued him, passing evidence to the CPS several days later.

Meanwhile the young lads who assaulted him have been given out of court disposals.

Will the Home Secretary now comment on the case?

Will she finally acknowledge two-tier policing and rid forces of training and guidance that direct officers to treat people differently?

Meet Poppy. ❤️

She's only around four months old...

But street life had already been unbelievably cruel to her.

When Poppy arrived, her leg had been broken and was healing in the wrong position. As if that wasn't enough, a wooden stick was painfully lodged inside her mouth.

It's frightening to imagine what would have happened if she hadn't reached us in time.

Today, she's a completely different little girl.

She runs, plays, loves everyone she meets, and lives every moment with pure joy.

Poppy was one of the lucky ones.

Sadly, thousands of puppies born on the streets never get that second chance.

This is why rescue matters.

But this is also why sterilisation matters.

Every dog we sterilise helps prevent more puppies from being born into a life of hunger, injury and suffering.

Poppy reminds us why we never stop fighting—for the ones we can save today, and for the ones we can protect tomorrow. ❤️

So we made it to the vet. And it's a boy. He's not well as has a respiratory infection and a wound near his head filled with pus. Now on a course of antibiotics. I'm keeping him until he's well enough to be fostered. Any name suggestions for this poppet?
