and somehow my rank is dropping faster than i expected.

that’s the part that stings the most about campaigns like this. you can be active, keep showing up, keep posting, and still feel the leaderboard slipping when the final stretch gets competitive.

@useTria has been one of those campaigns where the more you watch it, the more you realize how hard people are pushing across cards sold, trading volume, and referrals. the whole thing keeps moving, and if you slow down even a little, the ranking gap gets real fast.

right now it doesn’t feel like a comfortable position. it feels like the kind of window where one last push actually matters.

Tekanan IMF di 1998 memang tak bisa dibenarkan, tapi klaim "rupiah seharusnya sekuat dolar" adalah counterfactual yang tidak pernah diuji bebannya.

Rekam jejak IMF jelas memberatkan: ketika Hanke mengusulkan currency board ke Suharto (Feb 1998), IMF ancam cabut dukungan. Kemunafikannya pun terungkap, setelah Suharto jatuh, Camdessus justru beri lampu hijau ke Rusia & Brasil. Standar ganda yang telanjang.

Tapi pertanyaan yang lebih berat: Indonesia 1998 akan jadi Hong Kong, atau Argentina?

HK berhasil pertahankan currency board saat krisis Asia. Argentina yang punya currency board satu dekade justru kolaps karena defisit fiskal & utang menumpuk. Indonesia masuk 1998 dengan kondisi lebih lemah: perbankan rapuh, korporasi bergantung besar pada utang LN jangka pendek.

Currency board butuh disiplin besi: tidak ada cetak uang, tidak ada bailout perbankan. Apakah pemerintahan Suharto yang identik dengan KKN & pengeluaran off-budget benar-benar bisa mempertahankan itu?

Satu variabel lagi yang sering dilupakan: Indonesia bukan kota-negara seperti HK. Ini negara kepulauan 270 juta jiwa, pengekspor komoditas. Kehilangan kedaulatan moneter selamanya berarti tidak ada peredam saat harga minyak anjlok, krisis 2008, COVID, hingga tekanan fiskal hari ini.

Sabotase IMF nyata. Kritik @steve_hanke sah secara historis. Tapi "rupiah sekuat dolar hari ini" tetap klaim, bukan kepastian.

Hantu Argentina menghantui argumen ini.
