If you are buying a home anywhere in Massachusetts today, you have to be resilient. Donald, a MAHA and STASH graduate, knows that better than most. He’s been dreaming of a white house with a white picket fence since he was 5 years old growing up in Roxbury. 🧵
Donald bought his home in August 2024 with a ONE+Boston Mortgage, a $40,000 downpayment assistance grant from MAHA's STASH First-Gen Home program, and a $100,000 forgivable loan from Urban Edge!
And housing counseling agencies in Boston are working hard to support our clients and help them to take advantage of all the programs and financial assistance that are available. 2/2
MAHA is proud to work together with the City and @MayorWu to get these necessary funds into the hands of first-time & first-gen homebuyers! Getting to closing day as a first time homebuyer is no easy task… 1/2
Bringing down the cost of housing in Boston — one of the most expensive markets in the country — and increasing home ownership rates among low-income families has been a key focus of Wu’s administration. https://t.co/n0Yc76jwaq
This #GivingTuesday, support MAHA's work to make homeownership more accessible to all in Massachusetts! The racial homeownership gap should be a thing of the past, and not today's reality. Make a contribution today to support first-time homebuyers: https://t.co/mwbAoZj1Oe
MAHA’s Homebuyers Union took our fight for affordable homeownership to the statehouse this year. We advocated for more resources to be allocated to STASH & other critical homeownership programs. We're ready to keep fighting to make sure homeownership gets more attainable!
MAHA was so proud to celebrate the launch of ONE+ on Monday! ONE+ will bring deeply discounted mortgage rates coupled with downpayment assistance to renters in the Gateway Cities, Framingham, and Randolph. @mhphousing@MassGovernor@MA_EOHLC
We launched this program in 2020 in Boston and we’re happy it is now available to more homebuyers across the state. This initiative is an incredible show of collaboration between the public and private sectors to create more access to affordable homeownership in MA.
