Statement from Rubina Khan, sister of @ImranKhanPTI , 3 Nov 2026:
– On 2 Nov his lawyer was allowed a brief meeting at Adiala Jail, the first in 7 months. – Khan reports his blood pressure spiked to 192. He never had high BP, and it was normal a year ago. The family's medical advisors say developing it suddenly at 70+ is virtually unheard of. – He says the problems began only after more than a year of total isolation, and accuses those holding him of trying to kill him by withholding proper treatment. – The family demands his immediate admission to an independent hospital in Islamabad, with his personal doctor present. – A Supreme Court order from August 2026 for treatment at Shifa International Hospital has still not been implemented. – He survived multiple attempts on his life before jail, including being shot several times in the leg, one bullet narrowly missing his femoral artery. – If anything happens to him now, the family says, it will be cold-blooded murder.
The UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention has declared his detention arbitrary. @UNHumanRights@UN_SPExperts@amnesty@amnestysasia
Three women in their seventies have been in a Lahore jail since 21 September 2026. No charge. No trial.
One of them is my mother, @DrUzma_KhanPK. The others are her sisters, @Aleema_KhanPK and @Noreen_KhanPK. Their brother, former Prime Minister @ImranKhanPTI, has been in prison since August 2023.
The facts:
– The sisters are held in Kot Lakhpat Jail under Section 3 of the Punjab Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance, 1960, which allows officials to detain a person to prevent a threat to public order, without charge or trial. Their orders run 30 days at a time and can be renewed.
– The Punjab home secretary's report to the Lahore High Court says they were detained ahead of PTI's planned protests.
– Their detention was extended on 7 October. The family learned of it in court on 26 October.
– On 28 October, @Noreen_KhanPK was moved to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology. The family was not told.
– For three years, they visited their brother at Adiala jail every Tuesday and carried his words to the public. Now they are held themselves.
– In 2024, the UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention found Imran Khan's detention arbitrary and called for his immediate release. He remains in prison.
Release Imran Khan. Release his sisters.

Remembering Riffat Ara Alvi (Arshad Sharif Shaheed Mother) on her first death anniversary. She left this world while still awaiting justice. A pain no family should have to carry. May Allah grant her the highest place in Jannah and may her wait for justice not be in vain. Please remember my mother in law in your prayers. #justiceforarshadsharif
🇵🇰 Imran Khan’s 3 sisters have already spent OVER A MONTH behind bars, and Pakistan just found a way to keep them there until at least November 26.
Punjab’s government has EXTENDED the detention of Aleema Khan, Uzma Khan and Noreen Niazi by ANOTHER 30 days, under a public order law normally aimed at people seen as threats to public peace.
Their family asked a court to free them, but the judge threw the case out over a paperwork issue.
Meanwhile, a terrorism court has pushed back its verdict against Aleema yet again, to November 26, the same day her detention ends.
Whether that timing is a coincidence is anyone’s guess, but there are fears Aleema could be arrested again in the terrorism case as soon as her detention ends.
3 sisters with no political roles, held under one law until another can take over. Is this how justice works in Pakistan now?

Imran Khan’s family is in Jail only because they have refused to bow to Dictator Asim Munir!
Everyone knows that there is no legit case against them.

Today, the Punjab government confirmed before the Lahore High Court that my mother, Aleema Khan @Aleema_KhanPK and my aunts, Dr Uzma Khan @DrUzma_KhanPK and @Noreen_KhanPK Noreen Niazi, have been detained for another 30 days under the MPO.
What is particularly disturbing is that, according to the government’s own submission, the extension was approved on 7 October, yet only disclosed before the court on 26 October.
Why was this order not disclosed during the Lahore High Court hearings on 9th and 12th October? Why was our family kept in the dark, even after their original 30-day detention periods had expired?
For over a month, @ImranKhanPTI’s three sisters have been held in prison, denied access to their families and legal counsel, simply for standing by their brother, Imran Khan.
As a son and nephew, I ask: What threat do three women pose to the state that warrants another month of imprisonment? What are the authorities so afraid of?
The law should protect citizens from arbitrary detention, not become an instrument of persecution.
We demand their immediate release, immediate access to their families and lawyers, and full disclosure of the legal grounds for their continued detention.
We will keep fighting for justice. We will not be silenced.

So much love and outpouring of respect for #ArshadSharifShaheed today. Amazing legacy.
May his soul rest in eternal peace whilst his killers burn restlessly in hellfire till eternity.
🇵🇰 EXCLUSIVE: IMRAN KHAN'S SONS SAY THE PAKISTANI GOVERNMENT IS TRYING TO KILL THEIR FATHER!
I spoke again with Qasim and Sulaiman Khan, and this conversation was the most heartbreaking.
Not only is their father, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, still in solitary confinement, but his three courageous sisters, Aleema, Uzma and Noreen, have now also been arrested
And when @PTIofficial supporters hit the streets, many were arrested, beaten, and even killed!
Imran Khan’s sons say they haven't spoken to their father in over 6 months, nobody has seen him for 2 months, and they're increasingly worried about his deteriorating health.
I asked them the hardest question of all: Do they still believe they’ll ever see their father again?
Qasim admitted, he has very little hope, but they will never stop fighting
I told them both I wouldn't give up hope.
And I meant it.
