Important:

On Saturday, i.e., on the day that Lok Sabha 2024 elections were announced, people across India (and in other countries too) received a Whatsapp message from an ID called "Viksit Bharat Sampark"

The message contained a letter from PM Modi & was open and unabashed propaganda and marketing for Modi & the BJP.

Here's the catch:

thanks to the usual incompetence of the Modi Govt, a majority of these messages were received by people AFTER 4:30pm on 16th March. This is the time when the election Model Code of Conduct came into force.

Since the Whatsapp number sending these messages belongs to the Ministry of Electronics & IT, I've asked the IT Secretary to immediately furnish info on:

👉 What was the database of numbers used for this propaganda blast?

👉 How many Whatsapp messages were sent?

👉 How many messages were sent AFTER the code of conduct came into force?

The IT Secretary has been directed to furnish this information within 48 hours.

After 48 hours, an immediate probe and action by the Election Commission will be sought.

This WILL NOT BE ALLOWED to be brushed under the carpet if we're to even have a semblance of free & fair elections.
