A lawyer named Saiful Islam Alif has been killed in an attack by supporters of #ChinmoyKrishnaDas Brahmachari in #Chittagong. The incident took place on Tuesday (November 26) afternoon on the road in front of the #Chittagong court building.

Chittagong Assistant Public Prosecutor Mohammad Enamul Haque confirmed the matter. "The deceased Advocate Saiful Islam was a lawyer of Chittagong court."

Kais Uddin Didar, an eyewitness to the incident, said: "Advocate Saiful Islam was facing the lane of Rangan Community Centre. From there, he was abducted and killed by Hindu terrorists."

* সবার কাছে ক্যামেরা আছে এমন মোবাইল সাথে রাখবেন। যাতে রাস্তায় কেউ হেনস্থা বা গ্রেফতার করতে আসলে ট্রাম্পের ছবি সহ ভিডিও করতে পারেন। যাতে প্রমাণ করা যায় ট্রাম্পকে অভিনন্দন জানাতে আসা লোকজনকে অবৈধ ইউনুস সরকার বাঁধা দিচ্ছে। সারাবিশ্বে এটি ছড়িয়ে যাবে।

* আন্তর্জাতিক গণমাধ্যম সব কিছু কাভার করবে,ভিডিও চিত্র তুলে ধরবে।

* ১০ নভেম্বরে প্রোগ্রামে কোন মঞ্চ থাকবে না, হবে গণজমায়েত ও পদযাত্রা।

* রিক্সায় মাইক থাকবে, হ্যান্ড মাইক থাকবে।

* দলীয় কোন প্রকার ব্যানার ফ্যাষ্টুন বহন করা যাবে না। একবারে সাধারণ মানুষের মতো আসতে হবে।

* দলের শীর্ষ নেতা সহ কোন নেতারই ছবি ব্যবহার সম্পূর্ণ নিষেধ।

* মহিলাদের ব্যাপক উপস্থিতি নিশ্চিত করা গেলে ভালো।

* একটু আগেভাগে এসে বায়তুল মোকাররম সহ আসে পাশের মসজিদ গুলোতে অবস্থান নেয়া।

* ৫ আগস্টের পর যেহেতু এটাই আমাদের প্রথম প্রোগ্রাম সেহেতু সকল ভেদাভেদ ভুলে ঐক্যবদ্ধ হয়ে আসুন লাখো জনতা একত্রিত হই।

I don’t think the modern world has witnessed a female dictator as sociopathic as Sheikh Hasina. Sure, there were heartless, powerful women like Argentina’s Isabel Perón, the Philippines’s Imelda Marcos and Romania’s Elena Ceauşescu. But the latter two were First Ladies and wielded power through their husbands and the former was a puppet of José López Rega.

Hasina is a step above them. She has all the traits of a Benito Mussolini or a Paul Kagame and she went one step further by folding in North Korea’s cult politics centred on ‘father and family’ into the mix. 

Which is why, the people needed to go for a bloody uprising to bring her down. And yet, Hasina has not softened one bit. Not being able to hold on to power after using maximum force and the way the party workers and leaders have gone into hiding should be an indication of how well-liked this grand old party named @albd1971 is among the people. But no, she just doesn’t get it — she is bloodthirsty as ever, if not more.

And after losing the power they have cherished for so many years, there is no attempt at introspection and redress. Mindlessly and shamelessly, they are just going about attempting to regain power. So far, they attempted communal clashes, caused disarray in the army, went for random vandalism and industrial unrest, and tacitly caused an impasse in every state institution. Sat in her plush bungalow in Lutyens Delhi, she is instructing her men to set fire, literally and metaphorically, in Bangladesh. Only a consummate terrorist can advise such a thing. 

But Hasina’s evil eyes and ways will not prevail in our soil — the self-sacrifice of the thousands of people in the 36 days of July will not go in vain. If needed, the people will do it again, but they won’t allow someone like Hasina to be back in power again.

Bangladeshi's will jump to defend their freedom. They may run out of bullets for the gun but our people will not run out of bodies to stand in front of the barrel — with arms stretched wide.

জমি-সংক্রান্ত বিরোধে প্রতিপক্ষকে ফাঁসাতে এবং জমি দখলে নিতে দেবী সরস্বতীর একটি মূর্তি ভেঙে বিরোধীয় জমিতে রাখেন বীরেন চন্দ্র বর্মন নামের এক ব্যক্তি। ঘটনার সত্যতা প্রকাশ পাওয়ায় নিজের বসানো মূর্তি নিজেই ভেঙেছেন বলে ভুল স্বীকার করে মুচলেকা দেন তিনি।

ঘটনাটি পঞ্চগড়ের আটোয়ারী উপজেলার তোড়িয়া ইউনিয়নের ছেপড়াঝার এলাকার। শনিবার (২ অক্টোবর) দুপুরের দিকে আটোয়ারী উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসারের কাছে এই মুচলেকা দেন বীরেন চন্দ্র।

পুলিশ ও স্থানীয়রা জানান, ছেপড়াঝার এলাকার অনিল চন্দ্র বর্মনের ছেলে বীরেন চন্দ্রের সঙ্গে স্থানীয় আনছারুল ইসলামের জমি নিয়ে বিরোধ ছিল। বিরোধীয় জমি দখলে নিতে এবং আনছারুলকে ফাঁসাতে শুক্রবার (১ নভেম্বর) রাতে বীরেন চন্দ্র একটি মূর্তি ভাঙচুর করে ওই জমিতে রাখেন।

মুচলেকায় বীরেন চন্দ্র বর্মন উল্লেখ করেন, ‘আমি আমার ক্রয়কৃত জমি মো. আনছারুল ইসলামের গোত্রের জমির অংশ দখল পাওয়ার জন্য গত শুক্রবার রাতে আমার নিজ জ্ঞানে কৌশল অবলম্বন করিয়া আমার হিন্দু সম্প্রদায়ের মূর্তি স্থাপন করি এবং নিজে মূর্তিটি ভেঙে দেই। ইহা আমার ভুল হয়েছে। আমার এরুপ কাজের জন্য আমি ক্ষমাপ্রার্থী।’
