It’s been quite a ride since the day we showed up on Mahim Beach in 2017 with only a pair of rubber gloves, determined to find the clear beach beneath all the strewn garbage. The movement is a testament to how together we can truly move mountains (and clean beaches!) 🌻

Week 241: Saturday cleanup with employees of a large FMCG company. Heartening to see everyone’s efforts. Hope all FMCG companies adopt sustainable packaging solutions & take responsibility to reduce the impact of plastic packaging. Plastic from cleanup sent for recycling by NEPRA

We are committed to protecting our environment from plastic waste and alongside our efforts at Mahim, we'd like to get the ball rolling in other communities. We're, teaming up with @MuseumOfGoa to clean the lanes along the fields of Saligao.

Our sea is full of these ugly non-recyclable low grade single use plastic bags. Every shop in Kapad bazaar Mahim just 100mtrs from the beach is freely handing these out to thoughtless consumers. @mybmc @mybmcWardGN @CMOMaharashtra stricter laws need to be implemented. @mahimbeach
