Today, I retired from the post of Secretary to the Treasury and Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development.

Sri Lankan delegation to 58th Annual Meeting of Asian Development Bank (ADB) met with Mr Masato Kanda, the President of ADB today, 07th May 2025, in Milan, Italy. The delegation also met with other senior officials of the ADB.

Today, 08th April 2025, marked the completion of three years since I assumed duties as the Secretary to the Treasury, along with Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe, who assumed duties as the Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka on the same day.

Had a productive meeting with @CBSL Governor Weerasinghe, Sec Treasury @mahindasiri6, and others in the #SriLanka delegation. We discussed economic recovery focusing on trade, investment, and fiscal stability as vital pillars for future growth.
It was a pleasure to meet with IMF Deputy Managing Director Kenji Okamura during the IMF/WB Annual Meetings. Sri Lanka re-affirmed commitment to the macroeconomic reform programme and we look forward to continued discussions on the 3rd Review of the EFF programme.
