🔶شهدت الفترة الأخيرة منذ مطلع عام 2018 تنسيقا مستمرا وزيارات متبادلة بين المسؤولين الليبيين والسعوديين.

🔶الزيارات الرسمية مستمرة وفي مقدمتها زيارة المشير خليفة حفتر للمملكة بناء على دعوة رسمية من الملك سلمان وولي العهد

🔶الموقف السعودي واضح برفض التدخلات الأجنبية في الشأن الليبي، ولا سيما التدخلات الإقليمية التي كانت تدعم جماعات الإسلام السياسي.

🔶السعودية تعتبر استقرار ليبيا ضرورة إقليمية، وترى في المشير حفتر شخصية قادرة على بسط الأمن.

🔶نتيجة تحسن الأوضاع الميدانية شرقي ليبيا، ظهرت بوادر اهتمام سعودي بالاستثمار في قطاعات مثل النفط، الإعمار، والبنية التحتية.

Senior Bureau Official Tim Lenderking, Senior Advisor Massad Boulos, and Special Envoy Richard Norland hosted at the State Department on April 28 a delegation led by Lt. General Saddam Haftar, the envoy of the General Commander of the Libyan National Army. They agreed that a secure, united, and prosperous Libya, with strong technocratic institutions including the National Oil Corporation and Central Bank of Libya, will be better able to do business with the United States and U.S. companies. The United States will continue to engage officials from western and eastern Libya and to support Libyan efforts to unify their military institutions as Libyans secure their sovereignty.

U.S. Africa Command, supported by U.S. Strategic Command, conducted a unique training opportunity with Libyan military tactical air controllers to promote the process of reunification of Libyan military and security institutions Feb. 26 in the vicinity of Sirte, Libya.

“We are committed to continued cooperation with Libyan forces in support of a stable, unified and sovereign Libya,” said Lt. Gen. John Brennan, U.S. Africa Command Deputy Commander.

The B-52s flew from the USA to Libya as a BTF mission coordinated with Libyan counterparts.

On their first trip to #Sirte, @USAfricaCommand’s Lt. Gen. Brennan and Brig. Gen. Keravuori met with LNA Lt. Gen. Saddam Haftar to discuss U.S.-#Libya security cooperation. They also visited the 5+5 JMC’s headquarters where they were briefed about the work of the commission to maintain the ceasefire agreement and achieve military and security reunification.
