- stirs up hatred against my people

There has been so much hue and cry about the rising attacks on minority places of worship, establishment and homes after the fall of the Sheikh Hasina government, which is totally uncharacteristic of Bangladeshi society. The Indian media and the Hindu lobby latched on to those isolated incidents, amplified those and are building a case against the interim government or a case for the @albd1971.

But guess what? We now have some definitive proof of who is behind the latest stream of communal violence in Chittagong, as these exchanges on Facebook Messenger show. They are the work of Chhatra League, the banned student wing of the Awami League, on the instruction of their high command. The ones who carried out the attacks are cadres of Mohibul Hassan Chowdhury Nowfel, one of the leaders of Chittagong branch of AL.

Here, Mohammad Asifur Rahman (Minhaj), a Chhatro League leader, is instructing a party worker to vandalise a Buddhist temple, the Hindu colony, a Hindu mandir and shops owned by Hindus while wearing white Punjabi and white skull cap — to give off the impression that Islamists are attacking minorities. If he can pull it off, Nowfel will take of his career. The Chhatra League worker is seen telling him not to worry, they will give the students, presumably of Students Against Discrimination, a bad name through these orchestrated attacks. When the communal violence takes off in full steam, people will request the AL government to come back, he said.

It’s one carefully orchestrated plan — and I hope the @ChiefAdviserGoB is wiser about this.
